Me and the first lady

Okay I have a confession to make.  I have never been a Michelle Obama Fan.  For all the talk of gorgeous I never saw it and yeah I have been married to an african american woman so its nothing like that.  Sometimes you just get impressions and they take some time to change.

Frankly it took the Jimmy Fallon dance with here to change my mind.  I had to admit it was a great thing to see a first lady that had a little rythym and some moves.   In subsequent media exposures I had to admit she came across much more endearing and down to earth and in a peak into how the male mind might be affected by subjective things the lady started to look prettier to me. Never saw the  distinctive cheeks and the deep eyes.

Go figure.   NO she is still not my type (and married women aren’t anyway) but as my cousin’s children might say she’s aight (not a spelling error).  You go Mr President but ummm it must be something about the white house because we still have not had a president that can dance.

Sensational Reporting on the rise

I’ve just abut had my fill of sensational reporting recently. Even the weather channel is in on the game.  Imagine my horror when I see them reporting that a large Meteorite is coming towards Earth complete with image and a picture of the planet? As its turns out its due to  come today but ooops we forgot to say it really isn’t coming – its going to pass a few million miles  away.

CNN was in on the act with a BIG BOLD headline about the New Middle East virus and though this is much more potentially serious its amazing how  deep you had to dig to find out that it is  almost exclusively confined to Saudi Arabia or people returning from visiting  there and that its actually been around since July of last year and seems resistant to spreading unless you have very close contact.    Before all of this I just wanted to snuggle up in a onesie, stack up on food and ride  it out until everyone dies and it is left to me to  reinhabit the earth.

Besides that is the usual “you will never guess what happened at the zoo today” – coming up at 11 baring from the television. Then at 11 a cub was born.  I would never have believed an animal was born at the zoo?  You don’t say.  My questions is what happens when we REALLY have a crisis? Will we know it or will we just think its another cub being born? And what if  its a matter of hours and not days for us to be informed.  We don’t have any system to inform us that is central. Shucks I could be on a tablet watching twelve episodes of the Arrow in arrow before a bomb drops that the media has been tracking for five hours.
